Day 72 (Tuesday 27/7/10) Last couple days in Broome - Press here for map link
We extended our stay at the PYCP, the kids (and parents) enjoying the flat courts that are so good for the ripstick and scooters. After receiving the news that the parts for the trailer brakes hadn't left Adelaide yet we realised we would be here a couple more days. Therefore we headed to more of the tourist spots and of course the beach.
We visited Gantheaume Point, The Mango Place and a couple more hours at Cable Beach.
We also discovered we would be here for the famous Broome "Staircase to the moon" (the full moon reflections on the low tide mud flats) and made our way to the town beach to get a good spot. The moon, the bird life and the market fire buskers afterwoods were a lot of fun and we got more good pics.

Buskers at the markets (good fire performers)
Buskers at the markets (acrobats as well)
Day 73 (Wednesday 28/7/10) Last planned day in Broome. - Press here for map linkMore play and updating on journals in the morning, then some more work on the car to fix a rattly bull bar.
After lunch we spent another few hours at the beach playing and relaxing. Received the call that our part had arrived and could be fitted first thing tomorrow (Thursday) morning (hooray).
On the way home we stopped off at a local microbrewery called "Matsos" (where some of the movie Bran Nue Dae was filmed) to try the Mango beer and Chilli beer... interesting and actually pretty good. Hoping to leave tomorrow and will be bush again so only limited coverage for a week or so.
Lots of laughs once we discovered part of it was a nudist beach
Body surfing some waves on Cable beach
Inside Matsos (where the pub scenes were filmed)
Trying the Matso's "Mango" beer - not bad
