Amys Turns - Day 10 , 11 , 12

Day 10 - Tuesday in Alice - Lawrences and Pool
On tuesday we had a relaxing day just at the caravan park. Most of the day we were on the playground and the jumping pillow. In the morning we got up and went  straight to the playground. Mum and Dad did some stuff on the camper. Then we had morning tea at Jim and Margaret Lawrence's house and looked at old photos of Dad as a kid in Alice Springs. We then another swim and dinner. Love Amy xx

Home sweet home - the luxury 5 day setup

Day 11 - Alice to Devils Marbles (Karlu Karlu)
We packed up from the caravan park and Chris went to visit his 94 year old aboriginal godmother (Maggie)before we left Alice Springs. We travelled north till teh Devils Marbles where we stayed the night at the campground. Even though there were about 30 other caravans there also we were lucky enough to set up our camper at a very picturesque spot infront of a large group of boulders. The kids had a fabulous time climbing all around the rocks and I loved getting some nice photos at sunset and sunrise. x Trudy
Great view from the kitchen

Day 12 - Tennant Creek and The Pebbles
After a great camp at the Devil Marbles we got up and went to Tennant Creek.
We went straight to the old Battery Hill Mining Museum for the museum and underground tour. Bob our guide was great and the underground section was educational with many working machines from the 1920's, some being very very noisy in a small space. On our way out of Tennant Creek we called past the Lake Mary Anne, where the kids had a great swim (adults thought it was too cold).
Then on to a perfect campsite at the Pebbles just out of town , where we are currently updating this blog from and spoke to some freinds on MSN - amazing.
Take care and stay warm- x Chris

  3. Hi Guys, Have enjoyed reading about your trip and seeing some great photos. Wish we could be there with you. Just wanted to let you know that Charlie, or 'Chuckles' as we affectionately call him is doing fine. He is enjoying the wide open spaces of Murray Bridge and although we have not yet been able to train him not to drink from the fish tank (and even once the toilet!!!), from all purring he is doing I think he is enjoying his holiday as much as you.
    Love Josh and Bel
